50+ Local Black-Owned businesses to support in Paris

The past couple weeks have been overwhelming with the news of injustice going on in the US. Many people having been sharing helpful resources on social media, standing on the front lines protesting in the streets, offering supportive services, and empowering the many voices of change in the Black community. As an expat living in Paris, I have been staying connected to whats going on back at home, while also trying to figure out ways to get involved and support local issues going on here in France. This week in Paris, there was a protest held for Adama Traoré a victim of police brutality here in Paris, George Floyd and the Black Lives Matter movement. I wasn’t able to physically attend the protests, but I followed it closely online and the turn out exceeded expectations with close to 100,000 participants. One of the things I love most about living here is the diversity of people that make up this city, especially the black community there is a richness in cultures from all over the diaspora. I used to do a interview series called ‘Paris Portraits’ of locals here to showcase different creatives, and entrepreneurs which gave me the idea to compile a list of the wide-ranging local black brands, businesses, entrepreneurs, artists that we can support on our day to day here. Below you can find a list of over 50 business you can discover ,and feel free to share any additional people to this list, I will be updating it periodically.
